Our family has a long association with agriculture. Martin has spent some forty years in connection with the pig industry; including over twenty years of practical farming for most of which time he operated a herd of two hundred sows producing free-range pigs. He also spent many years in the allied industries and gained experience in pig genetics, animal feed and marketing.
Tom is agriculturally trained at Harper Adams University; where he achieved a 2:1 degree and the PIC Award for Best Pig Research (Dissertation).
Since embarking on the retail side of the industry both Tom and Martin have honed their skills in the art of butchery and particularly sausage- making for which we were awarded the ultimate accolade of “Best Sausage in the UK and Ireland in 2019.
Tom has particular knowledge of sheep farming and has reared his own lambs locally.
Our combined experiences means we know what we are talking about when it comes to quality British Meat.
